Welcome to Collins House

Collins House has been part of the local community for many years, with a long and proud history of caring for patients.

The building itself has a fascinating history. Before becoming a hotel, it was a dental surgery run by Mr Collins and his son, both dentists, until the 1980s. It was from them that the name Collins House originated. In 2000, the building returned to its roots when it reopened as a dental practice under the ownership of Mark Doyle, Simon Portman-Lewis and Mark Sykes. Since then, it has continued to grow into one of the largest Denplan practices in the area.

In May 2026, Collins House began an exciting new chapter when it was acquired by Jai Arhi, our Practice Principal. Jai brings with him many years of experience in dentistry, having trained at St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry before working across the West Midlands and later returning to London to further develop his experience in cosmetic dentistry. He subsequently made Hereford his home and has a particular passion for providing high-quality, minimally invasive and preventative dental care.

Jai is committed to combining the personal, welcoming approach that patients value with the benefits of modern dentistry and technology. His interests include cosmetic and restorative dentistry, orthodontics, Invisalign and digital dentistry, and he is passionate about ensuring that patients receive thoughtful, evidence-based treatment tailored to their individual needs.

As Collins House enters this new chapter, our aim is to build on everything that has made the practice special while continuing to develop and improve the care we provide. We are a caring, well-established practice offering a wide range of treatments, and our dentists, hygienists, therapists, nurses, reception team and support staff work together with one simple aim: to care for every patient as we would wish to be cared for ourselves.

We believe in getting to know our patients, listening to what matters to them and making every visit as comfortable and positive as possible. Whether you have been coming to Collins House for many years or are visiting us for the first time, we want you to feel welcomed, valued and looked after.
