GDC No. 60464
I qualified from Bristol Dental School in 1985. I worked as an associate dentist in Hampshire for nine years, before buying a practice in Hereford in 1994. My wife Karen comes from the Welsh Borders and it was always our intention to move closer to her home. In 2000, Mark and Simon became my partners when we bought Collins House together. I have loved working here ever since and have cared for many of my patients for over 28 years now.
My professional development is very important to me. From 2000-2005, I was involved in mentoring newly qualified dentists as an Educational Supervisor. In 2003 I passed the MFGDP (UK) qualification and in 2008 was awarded a Diploma in Dental Postgraduate Studies from Bristol University. I have a distinction in the FGDP Certificate of Practice Appraisal. I spend two days per month working as a Practice Advisor for Denplan, where I appraise other Denplan practices to ensure that they are meeting the high standards that all Denplan dentists must achieve. I have a PG Cert Med Ed, a certificate in Coaching and Mentoring and in 2019 was awarded a Fellowship of the College of General Dentistry.
I am married to Karen and have three adult boys. In my spare time, I enjoy growing vegetables, baking sour dough bread and making craft beer. Like my partners, I enjoy hill walking and am currently doing the Herefordshire trail for the second time.
