GDC No. 60464
I qualified from Bristol Dental School in 1985. I worked as an associate dentist in Hampshire for nine years, before buying a practice in Hereford in 1994. My wife Karen comes from the Welsh Borders and it was always our intention to move closer to her home. In 2000, Mark and Simon became my partners when we bought Collins House together. I have loved working here ever since and have cared for many of my patients for over 20 years now.
My professional development is very important to me. From 2000 – 2005, I was involved in mentoring newly qualified dentists as a Foundation Trainer. In 2003 I passed the MFGDP (UK) qualification and in 2008 was awarded a Diploma in Dental Postgraduate Studies from Bristol University. I have a distinction in the FGDP Certificate of Practice Appraisal. I spend two days per month working as a Practice Advisor for Denplan, where I appraise other Denplan practices to ensure that they are meeting the high standards that all Denplan dentists must achieve. I have recently gained my PG Cert Med Ed, and am currently studying for the award of FFGDP.
I am married to Karen and have three boys who are now in their teens and twenties. In my spare time, I enjoy growing vegetables and cooking. Like my two partners, I also enjoy hill walking, and am currently trying to complete the Herefordshire Trail.
